Wind Creek is proud to announce the opening of our brand new Casino in Gardnerville, Nevada! Wind Creek Hospitality has partnered with the Washoe Indian Tribe to create this new Casino, named Wa She Shu, located south of Reno. Wa She Shu Casino, which means “The People’s Place”, features 130 exciting new games, a full service restaurant and bar, and a 360 degree view of the neighboring Sierra Mountains.
“Partnering with Wind Creek is another step toward the Washoe Tribe’s long term goal of economic selfsufficiency,” says Neil Mortimer, Washoe Tribal Chair. “We are excited about the partnership and we’re pleased to create job opportunities for Tribal members and local residents, as well as increasing the entertainment options in the Carson Valley area.” The Washoe Tribe lives in the Lake Tahoe area of western Nevada and eastern California. Lake Tahoe, known as “Da ow aga”, or “edge of lake”, is at the heart of the Tribe’s ancestral homeland.
