FACT OR FICTION:
THE TRUTH ABOUT GAMES
by Zack Cutler
If you keep up with us, you know that we regularly answer questions asked by our Guests. When we sat down with our Gaming Directors to review the latest batch of questions, we noticed a lot of “true or false” questions, so we decided to take a different approach this time. So, here is the first edition of The Truth About Games!
Fact or Fiction:
Your chances of winning a Jackpot increase if you constantly change the bingo card on the machine.
Wade:
Fiction. Changing your card doesn’t affect the outcome. However, if you like to change your card until you see your lucky numbers, well, your lucky numbers could match up on any spin. So, if changing the bingo card makes you feel lucky, go for it! Just remember, the outcome is always random.

Fact or Fiction:
There are winning bingo patterns available on all machines.
Trenton:
That is a Fact. Every game we have has a bingo pattern, and all winning combinations have a bingo pattern associated with those wins.
Fact or Fiction:
The percentage payouts are higher for larger denomination machines.
Wade:
Fact. When you’re playing a higher denomination handle pull, we’ve got a more liberal payout that’s going to happen on those games. There’s a little bit tighter hold on the penny games, but on the higher denominations, it’s true, they are looser, and they have a better payout percentage.

Fact or Fiction:
The more you play on a game, the more it gets warmed up for a pay out.
James:
Fiction! A game doesn’t get warmed up, since each spin is random. But, the more you play, the better your chances of winning!
Fact or Fiction:
Pounding the PLAY button on my game as hard as I can will increase my chances of winning.
Wade:
Penalty! Pounding your machine doesn’t help anything, it only damages the machines, so please don’t do that. All you need to do is push the button to get your spin, so just relax and have fun!
Fact or Fiction:
You turn the machines on and off to control Jackpots.
Wade:
That is Fiction. We don’t have the ability to program these games to hit. There’s a random number generator that generates the winning combinations. - whether you’ve been here all day, everyday, or just once in awhile, it’s random - not programmed.

Fact or Fiction:
My chances of winning will increase if I play with my rewards card.
Trenton:
That is Fiction, playing with your card does not have any affect on the outcome of the game. However, if you don’t play with your card, you’ll be missing out on all the great benefits offered in our rewards program, so it’s a good idea to use your card!
Fact or Fiction:
The game machines are programmed daily as to how much they will pay out.
Wade:
Fiction! We don’t have any control over the jackpots that are paid out. Some days are slow, and other days are crazy. As a matter of fact, one day last year, we paid out over 500 taxable jackpots. There’s no limit in a 24 hour period, so good luck!
Fact or Fiction:
Those employees with the red shirts in the Casinos are following me around.
James:
Well, that’s a Fact! You are referring to our Game Attendants, but they’re not really following you around, they are all around the Casino to help our players. They’re there to help with whatever your needs are, and to help pay out all those Jackpots!
Fact or Fiction:
The Casino controls if someone wins or loses if they are playing with their card.
Trenton:
That’s Fiction! Playing with your card, or without your card, has no variance on whether you’re going to win or lose, that machine doesn’t care if you’re using your card. You can feel comfortable and confident that it has no variance on how that game is going to play.
Fact or Fiction:
Your machines are set tighter than the games in Mississippi.
Wade:
Fiction! And I know that for a fact, because I used to work in Mississippi and I know how those games are set. Now I work here at Wind Creek, and I know how they’re set here, and it’s a fact we have much more liberal payouts than any casino in Mississippi.
Fact or Fiction:
Your games machines are programmed on a schedule that determines when someone is going to win.
James:
Absolute Fiction! It’s all random, every spin you take, you have an equal chance of winning that large jackpot. However, the more you play, the better your chances are of winning, so come on down here and spin away.

Fact or Fiction:
Visitors are only allowed to play in certain sections of your casinos according to their age.
Trenton:
Well, that’s kind of a Fact! You do have to be at least 21 years old to play in any of our Casinos, but other than that, you can play any of our games, anywhere in the Casino. So play wherever you want, and have fun!
