If you attended the Gulf Coast Jam last month in Panama City, you may have visited the Good To Go food truck, which was serving up delicious treats all weekend. What you don’t know is that 100% of the proceeds from our appearance at the event was donated directly to the Wesley Burnham Foundation. Named for Wesley Burnham, the music loving 2-year-old who was tragically struck by a car and killed, the Foundation provides funding for preschool scholarships and donates guitars to children who want to learn how to play. We’d like to thank all of the patrons who helped us support this worthwhile cause. To find out more, please visit facebook.com/wesleyburnhamfoundation.
The Atmore Public Library recently received a substantial gift from Wind Creek Atmore. The donation came from our TITO (Ticket In, Ticket Out) program, which allows Guests to donate their cash-out tickets to a designated charity. Cathy McKinley, Director of the Atmore Library, had this to share: “I can’t tell you how much we appreciate this. The old saying is ‘when one door closes, another opens’. It’s just unbelievable what we can do with this.” Says Tim Ramer, Property Manager of WCA: “None of this could happen without the support we get from our Guests. It’s their donations that make this happen, so the real thanks goes out to them.”
